Got democracy? Turns out we don't.

According to Roslyn Fuller, author of, In Defence of Democracy, "The truth is that our form of government was never intended to give power to the people."

Instead, the Founding Fathers patterned government after the Roman Empire's which made no bones about the fact it was an oligarchy.  This way their property could be protected.  Land, slaves, wives and children were all considered property at the time.  And of course poor white men without property had no vote either.

Direct democracy--no pleading for crumbs from politicians

Instead, we meet in Community Councils to set local and state budgets and determine agendas for how  government will serve the people. Having sister councils will keep us connected nationally and internationally, plus provide a framework for people to take democratic control worldwide.  

Public-owned news

Public-owned news will be charged with rooting out corruption at all levels of government, holding the powerful accountable, and practicing journalism instead of what happens in legacy media where facts go missing.

At rollout, this website will become command central so that people can post meetings in their localities and form groups. Merch will be sold online to support the website--meaning we the people self-fund our revolution. Income and expenses will be published for all to see.

The Goals

A Federated Whole

This means that while individual Community Councils retain some autonomy, they are part of the city and state's  Federated Councils.  State/territory Councils will join together and be part of a Federated national whole.  National Councils will join internationally, and together we will build a better world.  Peace just might break out, because we the people are sick and tired of this bellicose ruling class who can't find anything better to do than cause problems.

After 248 years of unrepresentative government it is high time for democracy of, by, and for the people. Roslyn Fuller clearly demonstrates that with the use of technology even countries with large populations can utilize direct democracy-- one person/one vote. 

No longer will we have to hope that politicians we vote for will do as promised (9 times out of 10--they don't).  Nor will we have to worry about the ones we don't vote for ending up in office and enacting disastrous policies that hurt us and people we care about--not to mention misspending public money--the kind of graft legacy media never covers, which is what our public-owned news will show us.


To have democracy of, by and for the people means people will show up and participate in Community Councils, and determine a new future.  We might even vote to convene a Constitutional Convention in the U.S. where the first order of business would be drafting a living document that includes everyone, ensures equal justice for all, and makes medical/eye/and dental care a right.  We might decide we want nationwide high speed rail. We might demand the government install extremely efficient geothermal heat pumps in all buildings to eliminate use of fossil fuel products except at power plants.  We might decide at the state/province level to be food sovereign so that farmers and ranchers are paid better to provide fresh, wholesome food directly to people, and cut out the middle man.  Eliminate student/medical debt? Heck yeah! Just imagine all of the good that can be done with our tax dollars which are currently going to kill other peoples' children!

Right now

We are in the process of appealing to large-audience podcasters so that the Mosquito Revolution can be rolled out worldwide.  This is an exciting time.  There's nothing we can't do if we the people work together.

The Plan

There's nothing we can't do when we work together!

For now the direct action plan is under wraps until worldwide rollout.  Be assured it is something Mosquito Revolution groups can easily accomplish.  In fact, the first step might just prove to be fun for those who are frustrated with unrepresentative government.  (God knows beleaguered working class people could use some fun after what we've been through!)  The second step, which most likely will be necessary in most places, will take longer and demand working together to achieve the goal.  We guarantee full, ongoing support on this site to ensure democracy of, by and for the People becomes a reality.

Why it's called Mosquito Revolution

Throughout American history, people who stood up for equal justice, workers rights, civil rights, women's suffrage, and against slavery and genocide, were, (and continue to be), summarily cut down--smashed like little mosquitoes.  But now, for the first time ever--we call for mosquitoes to form into a swarm and attack!  Take government out of the hands of the ruling class, and put them on the run.
